Introduction to Peacemaking
in the Palestinian Context
Introduction to Peacemaking in the Palestinian Context is a foundational course that invites participants to explore the biblical, historical, and practical foundations of Christian peacemaking through the experience and witness of Palestinian Christians.
Drawing on Scripture, theology, history, and lived experience, this course equips Christians to understand the realities of Israel and Palestine while developing a faithful vision for justice, reconciliation, and peace rooted in the teachings of Jesus.
Through fourteen engaging lectures, participants will wrestle with questions such as:
What does biblical peacemaking look like in situations of violence and injustice?
How did the Israeli-Palestinian conflict develop, and why does its history matter?
How are Palestinian Christians responding to occupation with hope and faithfulness?
What role should the global church play in pursuing justice and reconciliation?
How can Christians become more effective peacemakers in their own communities?
Featuring Palestinian Christian theologians, pastors, historians, and practitioners, this course offers an opportunity to learn directly from the church in the land where Christianity began and to discover what faithful peacemaking looks like today.

This course is delivered on our educational platform, ItsLearning.
The course is fully asynchronous; that is, participants can access the pre-recorded video lectures and readings at their own convenience.

THEOLOGY IN THE SHADOW OF GAZA
Christian Theology after Gaza is a timely course that challenges participants to rethink Christian theology in light of the moral, biblical, and theological questions raised by the war in Gaza.
Drawing on the voices of Palestinian theologians, historians, biblical scholars, legal experts, and Jewish anti-Zionist thinkers, the course explores how Christians are called to respond when faith is used to justify oppression, and what faithful discipleship requires in a world marked by violence and empire.
Through fourteen engaging lectures, participants will
wrestle with questions such as:
What has the church in Gaza witnessed through nearly two thousand years of Christian history?
How has Christian theology been used to justify injustice—and how can it be reclaimed?
What is Christian Zionism, and how should Christians respond to it?
What role do lament, repentance, and peacemaking play after Gaza?
What might a faithful Christian theology look like after genocide?
Featuring leading Palestinian Christian scholars alongside respected international voices, this course invites Christians to think deeply, read Scripture faithfully, and discover how the witness of the church in Palestine speaks powerfully to the global church today.
The Stones Cry Out is an 8-part video series recorded at significant sites in the Holy Land.
The locations include
The Herodium
Beersheba
Jericho
Jaffa,
Mt. Gerizim
En Gedi
Herod’s Palace (Jerusalem)
Caesarea.
The series was filmed by the media department at Bethlehem Bible College during the twelve months immediately before the outbreak of the war in Gaza in 2023.
Each episode, recorded on location, features peace and justice themes related to biblical narratives. The presenters for the series are Dr. Jack Sara, President of Bethlehem Bible College and Dr. Nelson Kraybill, President Emeritus of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary.
The Stones Cry Out is especially tailored to adult education learners in congregations, small groups, or other non-academic settings where a teacher guides participants in viewing the videos and discussing questions from the study guides or other themes brought by the teacher.
Another level of participation in the course is for Master’s level students who take a “deep dive” into relevant scripture passages, consult commentaries and other academic resources, and author substantial essays responding to questions in the study guides.
